Trans Brecon Beacons Guided MTB Adventure

Grab some mates, ditch the trail centres, bike parks & uplifts and join us on epic adventure with three day guided Trans Brecon Beacons MTB tour.


The Brecon Beacons are the highest mountains in Southern Britain & are used by the SAS for their gruelling training selections.

Enjoy some big mountain riding with strenuous climbs, awesome technical  descents, superb views and loads of history.  

We have created a superb challenging circular route which takes in some of the best natural mountain biking the Beacons offer.

Experience this ride on an Electric Mountain Bike (EMTB) for added thrills

Who’s it for:

The ride is tough over 3 days and is suitable for experienced confident riders who are of a good physical fitness level and are comfortable riding for up to 7hrs per day in challenging technical mountainous conditions.

Unless you can climb like a GOAT, there will be some “Hike-a-Bike” involved.

  • Thursday evening, arrive at your chosen accommodation and meet up with your mtb guide to discuss the next day's riding.

  • Friday morning, your mtb guide will meet you at your accommodation after breakfast and we will ride in the Black Mountains area, covering approx. 7hrs ride time, 50km with 1,500mtr ascent/descent to arrive at that night’s accommodation*

  • Saturday morning, your mtb guide will meet you at your accommodation after breakfast and we will ride in the Central Beacons area riding covering approx. 6hrs ride time, 40km with 900mtr ascent/descent to arrive at that night’s accommodation*

  • Sunday morning, your mtb guide will meet you at your accommodation after breakfast and we will be back in the Black Mountains area covering approx. 5hrs ride time, 35km with 1,100mtr ascent/descent to arrive back at your vehicles & where we started on Friday, for your departure.*


*As we will be riding a circular route the accommodation maybe different on each night, your luggage will be collected and dropped off ready for arrival at your next destination


What’s included:

  • Superb wilderness mountain bike riding over 3 days & a huge variety of terrain, all within easy reach of London, Home Counties and nearly anywhere in the UK.

  • Your groups personal British Cycling Mountain Bike Leader for 3 days, to expertly guide you in the mountains

  • GPX route file for you to download to your device (you won’t need to use it, as your guide will do all the work)

  • Quality Packed lunch on 3 days

  • Luggage transfer on each day 

  • An awesome time riding with your chosen group (ride will not be open to any other riders outside your group)

What’s not included:

Instead of providing an “all-inclusive cost”, or sticking you in a certain type of room when you would rather be somewhere else, we would rather give you the option to stay and eat where you want.   

  • Accommodation & breakfast will be booked when we know the size of your group, dates, requirements etc. Either we can book it or you can book direct. We can provide recommendations, from a campsite @ £15 night to more creature comforts @ £60+ per night.

  • Refreshments at any place we may stop during the ride.

  • Dinner - Depending on which accommodation you are staying in, there may be a choice of dining venues, we can provide recommendations, make bookings etc.

  • Personal Insurance, Bikes and Equipment

We run this trip over 3 days on selected long weekends between April and the end of September.

  • We can also run this trip over 2 days with a modified route of 85km distance and 3,500mtr ascent/descent.

  • MTB guide to rider ratio is 1:8, (for larger groups we use a 2nd guide.)

A unique two day mountain biking trip around the stunning Gower coastline & hills in west Wales.

This two day circular route of 75km takes in breath-taking scenery and the best mountain biking around the Gower with 1,200mtr ascent/descent.


There’s a lot to do around the Gower for non-riders inc surfing & great beaches, so bring your family or friends along and meet up.
